Our venue is designed to provide a haven for connection, yoga, and mindfulness, allowing you to effortlessly host your retreats without concerns about equipment, food, or accommodation. The venue was built to offer a meaningful experience for guests to come and retreat away from their everyday life. We’re not about luxury; we’re about creating a down-to-earth venue with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Following sustainability principles, we source spring water from the mountains, obtain food from local farmers, and harness solar power.

OUR LOCATION

Discover our tranquil venue in Buljarica, a small town along the Montenegrin coast, where mountains meet the sea. We’re perched on a steep hill, about a 15-minute walk from the second-longest beach in Montenegro and the last marshland left on the Adriatic coast. Our beach yoga platform is at the bay’s end, and we can sort out a shuttle for your group.

While we’re close to nature, we’re not all by ourselves; we’ve got friendly neighbours next to our retreat. July and August get a bit busier in our village with more people and activity, the other months are pretty calm and peaceful.

There are some nice walking trails around the retreat, and we’re well-placed for day trips. You could do a boat tour from Buljarica beach (just a 15-minute walk), check out Lake Skadar (a 30-minute drive), explore Budva’s old town (a 40-minute drive), or head to Kotor (about 60 minutes by car).

In our town, you’ll find a small shop, a couple of restaurants, cafes, and a bus stop. If you fancy more options, Petrovac, a charming seaside town, is just a 10-minute drive away with plenty of restaurants and a nice coastal walk.

OUR PLANT BASED CUISINE

At our venue, full catering is included. Mahakala’s nourishing vegan food is always homemade, wholesome, and fresh. Our buffets feature a variety of dishes, from freshly made bread to salads with homegrown vegetables, catering to everyone’s tastes. All our food is crafted in our home kitchen by local Montenegrin women. No complicated detox programs here—just nutritious food made with love. Dr. Vesna Lemm, a detox and nutrition specialist, curates the menu to ensure a balanced vegan diet

We offer 2 daily homemade vegan buffets. Our meal times are based on a powerful intermittent fasting philosophy (our favourite health tip!). This involves two highly nutritious meals per day (served at 10:00 and 17:00).

ACCOMMODATION for our retreat venue hires

Mahakala Retreat (max 14 people)  Each room has its own private bathroom and the beds in the rooms can be put together as a double bed or separated into two single beds (excluding the dorm room).

• 2 Sea & Mountain View Ensuites (2 people) with private bathroom & balcony
• 1 Seaview Ensuite (2 people) with entrance to yoga shala & private bathroom
• 2 Basic Double rooms (2 people) with private bathroom on the ground floor
• 1 Dorm room (4 people) with 2 bunk beds with private bathroom and mountain view

Extras Apartments can be added on for extra price if requested.
