Opportunity description

Yoga Teacher needed at an Eco Lodge/Retreat Centre URGENT: 1st/ 2nd Dec – 15th Jan

We are a Yoga and Eco Retreat in the jungle in the centre of Sri Lanka. Located 19km east of Kandy, it is made up of 15 cabanas amongst the peaceful forest and runs as a community initiative, supporting many employees across three local villages.

Our retreats run for 4 days and include 1.5 hrs of morning Vinyasa/ Hatha and 1.5hrs of Yin Yoga in the evening. You will be expected to lead these retreat classes alongside drop ins as requested by guests in our beautiful Shala which is right in the heart of the forest.

We are looking for a certified Yoga teacher for 1st/2nd December – 18th Jan.

You must be passionate about nature and keen to interact with local people and visitors from all over the world.

In return you receive 50% of the Yoga income, free accommodation (your own private room with en-suite), and food.

You will enjoy a peaceful retreat center deep in nature, where you can experience true Sri Lankan hospitality and explore a side to local villages often unseen. Aside from your classes you have free time to do as you please, exploring and getting to know all about how we work within the community here!

What to do at Destination:

You are very welcome to join your guests on a hike to a waterfall where you can swim and have lunch and also to partake in the local cooking class! We are less than 1hr by bus from the cultural heritage city, Kandy, which you can visit as well as join our community with any other events taking place.
