ABOUT US:

We are is a healing space that sits on 20 acres of forested land on Bowen Island, just a short 20 minute ferry ride from Vancouver. We acknowledge and honor that Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island) is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.

Our life’s work is the stewardship of this land, to care for and know its forests and waterways. With this as the foundation, Nectar Yoga Retreat draws travelers, leaders, and brands from metro Vancouver and all over the world, offering overnight stays, retreat experiences, and meaningful programs. By holding space for guests to slow down, our intention is to seed consciousness that naturally comes from immersing oneself in the land.

YOUR ROLE:

This is a work trade for 2 months with the possibility for this to turn into a fulltime paid role, if the candidate is successful!

Chef

·         Following our Retreat Menu and cooking delicious meals for our guests.

·         Table setting and design.

·         Anticipate and meet the needs of guests and modify recipes to meet dietary restrictions.

·         Maintaining an organized and clean workspace.

·         Dishes, pantry organization, fridge organization, clean surfaces, clean floors, clean appliances.

Housekeeping

·         Cleaning the A frames, Cottages, Bathrooms and Lodge on check out days.

·         Perform lodge checks and room checks.

·         Maintain the stock of cleaning supplies/sundries.

Yoga Instructor

·         Plan and Instruct weekly Yoga Classes.

·         Have clear instruction and communication.

·         Great knowledge of Yogic Principles.
