Hi everyone,

We are Remon and Freya who run a beautiful eco lodge around 40 mins east of Kandy in Sri Lanka with a strong focus on community and nature.

Together with Remon’s parents, we run 3 organisations that focus on nature and our local community and we are looking for an enthusiastic marketer to tell our story. Polwaththa Eco Lodges, Eko Land Produce and the Forest Healing Foundation are located in a Kandyan Forest Garden and centered on conservation and uplifting the community while promoting a more sustainable tourism and spice trade. The richness of these Kandyan Forests not only provides a diverse range of fruits and spices but also a haven for birdwatchers, yogis and anyone that loves being in nature. Within the Eco Lodge we host 4 day Yoga retreats as well as have other tourists who come for hiking, birdwatching, drop in Yoga classes, traditional cooking classes and much more.

What we are looking for

– An enthusiastic traveller who shares our passion for community and nature

– Has experience in marketing and story telling, especially SEO and social media i.e. Instagram and Facebook

– Travels with a good camera or phone

– Available for a minimum stay of 2 weeks

In exchange for 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, we provide your own room in our Volunteer House, all meals and you are welcome to join activities when appropriate.
